Baby-Rrific

The other day, Mike tenderly patted my belly and then looked at me with a gentle smile, saying:
"I never thought your belly would get this big."

He said it so sweetly that all I could do was laugh. Since it's been a while since you've seen mini Mike in all his glory, here's a shot of his face profile from my last (and most likely final) ultrasound:

He hand is right up by his eyebrow, in case you're wondering what that is. And a few updates:

• The ultrasound tech said that everything is totally normal with his little kidneys now. They were initially measuring a little big, which I guess it relatively common with boys. Maybe this was a bit of a blessing for me, since it meant I got to see him every month.
• I got to see a fuzzy bit of white on the ultrasound, which is apparently his hair, along with some extra other white lining on his cheeks and belly, which is developing fat. 
• I also got to see him sucking his thumb. Crazy.
• The ultrasound tech measured his head and then said, "Oh, he's a little chunky!" Followed by his belly measurements, and, "Yup, he's pleasantly plump."
• Baby's now weighing in at 4 pounds. Woop!
