As of today, I have three weeks until my due date on July 12th. YAY! Life has been treating me mostly good. This Texas heat (over 100 for, what, more than a week now?) is driving me a bit batty, but maybe it's making little baby ready to join our family and be out of his boiling hot momma. At my last doctor's appointment, my doc was surprised to see that I'm a little more ready to deliver than she had expected. She's out of town this week, so we'll hope that my contractions stay 8 minutes apart and uncomfortable, as opposed to 5 minutes apart and more than uncomfortable.
However, based on my doc's assessment, Mike and I went out and promptly bought our car seat and stroller this past weekend. I'm packing my hospital bag tonight too, and we're going to try to finish the blasted baby dresser that has nearly been the death of us.
Don't worry, little baby, we're almost ready for you. It's just that, if you joined us now, our house would be a little more messy that I would ideally like and we'd definitely nee to send Daddy out on a few shopping sprees for some of the smaller things we are missing.

So exciting! Yu will love having him here. And in the end you won't really care (or remember) if your house was a little messy when he came. :)
