Done!

It only took three months and five days, but I am proud to announce that Eli's long awaited dresser is finally finished! It went from this...

To this:

Okay, maybe it doesn't look like that drastic of a change, but somehow it was a loooot of work! And after:
  • Three repaintings (I am not the smoothest painter)
  • Two complete sandings
  • The help of one old college roomie, one sister-in-law, one father, and one disgruntled husband
  • Three drawer rebuildings by said increasingly perturbed husband
  • One very unfortanate episode with polyurethane (not for white furniture, friends! that is, unless you want happenin' yellow streaks down your white furniture)
  • Six pull swap outs
You can clearly see that furniture resortation may not be for us.  I may have even promised Mike that I will never again bring home a free, Craig's List find that requires his wood working skills. Ikea was looking mighty fine at some points during the project.
But, with all that said, I kind of adore the end project. Isn't it beautiful?
