One of Eli's first smiles
I happened upon a baby developmental milestone webpage the other day, and it got me noticing all of the little things Eli has been doing, like at:
- 4 Weeks: smiling
- 5 weeks: standing, pushing off of lap
- 6 weeks: blowing bubbles
- 8 weeks: screaming
One of the first baths after the umbilical cord fell off (and already too big for the hospital bathtub!)
First time making it through 3 hours of church... and lookin' a little dazed, I must say.

First time being dressed up by Mommy and her friends.
Our little guy is really growing, and I even have some video evidence. If you get sick of listening to a gushing, goober-fic new mom, just feel free to mute me. I really can't help the decibel level of my voice when talking to Eli.
Here's him at only 5 days old...
And only 4 weeks old....
And now...
(The smiles are best at the beginning and end, but he's pretty darn cute throughout.)
I promise, he does occasionally wear clothes. Anyway, being the one that gets to witness all these firsts is pretty awesome. We're so happy to have our little chunky monkey (14 pounds now!) in our lives!

Cute boy! And wow 14 lbs! Aren't they supposed to double their birth weight in six months? Not sure because mine is three and barely 30 lbs on a good day. You're gonna be one buff mama. But I'm sure he's making you lose weight so fast!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! And why does he need to wear clothes? It's too dang hot! (besides the fact that baby clothes are so cute!) :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I love that dress-up photo! so stinking cute! So excited for you guys and love seeing you all goo-goo ga-ga over your precious little boy! so fun!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness! He is adorable!! I can't believe he is 14 pounds...what a cutie!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie pie! I can't believe its been over 8 weeks-he's growing like a weed. You are doing such an amazing job!
